How Can You Possibly Find Time For Everything?

How can you possibly find time for everything you want to do? The answer, of course, is balance. Finding time for all of the things you have to do plus all of the things you want to do is a delicate balance, and having a functional (and beautiful) home supports that balance. Everything you do all day is that much easier when your starting and ending point is intentionally customized to your lifestyle. We love to create moments for spontaneous joy, from treasured photos to fresh flowers, so that your home can support you and make that balancing act just a little easier.

Speaking of spontaneous joy... do you have treasured photographs or keepsakes hidden away? Let's turn them into works of art!

Come to DOMAIN on Saturday, October 6th from 2pm-4pm and our resident artist, Dorian Berman, will turn your beloved memories into encaustic art you can see, touch and enjoy every day. Each image will be mounted and finished with beeswax and damar resin or transferred and imbedded by hand onto an 8x8” cradled wood panel.
Bring your keepsakes (flowers, newspaper clippings), old slides (we will digitize them for you at the boutique), high resolution scans or digital photos on a USB.

We're very excited to offer this one day event and Dorian has special pricing just for DOMAIN customers on Saturday. Normally $125 each, Dorian has a special one day price of $95 for one panel or $250 for three panels.
Here are Dorian's top tips for your images:
1. Choose images for transfer that have high contrast.  Images against a light background (sky/water) work really well.
2. The images must be free from copyright, taken by you or used with permission, in order to be reprinted.
3. For original documents, please note that the wax turns things transparent.  If, for example, you use a newspaper article or paper document, whatever is on the back will show through.
4. Transferred images result in one-of-a-kind art.  Because of the burnishing technique used, variations occur and are unpredictable.
