We love sharing our design ideas with you so we're so excited to introduce you to our very own Design Chats, an Instagram-based IGTV series that will be launching this week! On Design Chats we'll be giving you quick tips, inspiration, and clever ideas to update and refresh your space. We'll share ideas from Domain, the Studio, project sites and even while we're out sourcing and shopping for projects. Since we're all spending quite a bit more time at home these days, now is the perfect time to launch this series that stems from common questions we receive from our clients, customers, and friends. Design Chats is for you so we welcome you to send us your design questions — we may just feature your question in one of our future videos!

If you're keeping track then you know that this is officially Week 5 of the One Room Challenge and that means that next week is the final reveal of our virtual room for Oprah! Last week we showed you some of our great finds from High Point Market so this week we're finalizing the design details including paint colors (yes, that's usually one of the last steps!), styling accessories and artwork. We have a sneak peek to show you today, a little moment that our friends at Duke Renders have been working on for us. We love showing our clients a 3D image of our design plan for their new space and the team at Duke Renders creates such amazing images that you can't even tell it's not a real photo! Just like a sculptor, they start with what they call a clay render, an all-white 3D image to confirm furniture placement, proportion and overall design. Then they fully finish the rendering, adding materials, color and lighting to bring the space to life. Today we're sharing a glimpse of our clay rendering of Oprah's living room, again it's all in white just for finalizing the design before the materials, color and lighting is added. Here you can see how beautifully the team at Duke Renders captured the details and you can even see how the light will filter softly into this room from the bay windows.

Next week we're excited to reveal our final design plans in a full color 3D rendering by Duke Renders. Don't forget to check back in next Wednesday and we hope to see you at Domain (or online) soon!
