It's officially the first day of spring today and I'm thinking about all of the wonderful ways we can bring the outdoors in. Today I'm excited to share a couple of my favorite ideas that will refresh your home for the new season.
Bring in your garden! When you spend as much time inside as we all do, why not enjoy your view all day long? Fresh flowers are beautiful and uplifting so bring in a few stems and brighten your space. No garden? I've found really lovely cut flowers at grocery stores or even wild flowers from a field or roadside... all you have to do is loosely arrange them in a simple vase for a big impact. Check out these huge cherry blossoms we used for a recent project and on the cabinet we have eucalyptus stems in a simple white vase. I love wide mouthed vases where the stems have room to bloom. And if you need help with arranging, come to our floral arranging workshop with Crimson & Clover at DOMAIN on Saturday at 11am! (click here for tickets)
Springtime scents... It's still a little chilly outside in the Northeast so, although it looks beautiful outside, we're not quite ready to open our windows just yet. Recreate that fresh spring scent in your home with nature-derived scented candles and your mood will thank you. I love beeswax candles but vanilla and lavender are my favorite scents for soy candles. I especially love 228 Grant Street Candle Company's Meyer Lemon and Lavender candles that come in sweet glass jars from DOMAIN.
We hope to see you soon and here are some of our upcoming workshops we have on the calendar for DOMAIN!
