A Mother's Day Q+A with Laura...

Happy (Almost) Mother’s Day! We love moms: the caregivers, fixers, the women who inspire us everyday. We decided to ask Laura some questions on the topic of motherhood, like how she would love to spend her day, and some insight into how she has been inspired through the topic of care-giving…and we couldn’t help but ask her what she would love to give/receive from the shop, too! Keep reading for a little Q+A with Laura!

What is your favorite way to spend Mother’s Day? 

I love to spend the day with my mum (yes, I’m British!) enjoying a lovely brunch and maybe a spa treatment or another relaxing experience together. 

What is one of your favorite books/movies/poems about motherhood? 

I’ve always loved Steel Magnolias. It’s such a beautiful movie that captures the love and connection between mothers and children. 

Any Domain items that you would give or like to receive for Mother’s Day? 

I love giving (and receiving!) gifts that are thoughtful and that remind me of the recipient. For my mum I know she loves flowers and floral scents so I would create a gift basket from our Rosewater Facial Cleanser, Juniper & Grapefruit soap, Lavender Essential Oil and our Glow Essential Oil Diffuser. A light but cozy blanket is another lovely idea and one of my favorites is our Motley Moss Cotton Knit Throw. I also love The Motherhood of Art by Marissa Huber and Heather Kirtland. This book discusses the balance of motherhood and creative pursuits, offering friendly advice, encouragement and tips for carving out time for creativity.
